I think that many things will happen in the next decade. I think that new technology will play an important role in our society, and hopefully it will improve it. For example, I think that renewable resources will start to be used more in our society.
Within the next decade, i believe that there will be more fuel efficient cars that will be environmentally safe. I would have to agree with Alena because since the years have escalated more, technology for society would also increase as well.
I also agree with Lauren and Alena that technology will continue to evolve and become better. I think that the war will probably end and that many things will happen that we would never have been able to predict now. Duke will also win at least one national championship :)

I also agree with Kevin. I want a fuel efficient car! I think technology will continue to bring people together in a basic way yet leave people feeling more alone... wow, I'm depressing.
I disagree with Kevin because a lot of people wont really care about the environment that much. I think everything will be done by technology and everyone will lose their jobs.
I respectfully disagree with matt in that when the future comes the enviroment will mean everything to us, because there will not be an enviroment in 50 years if we keep up how we live our lives.
I feel as though technology-wise we will not have MANY new inventions, however everything will be improved (internet, video games, ipods, cellphones). Knowing how much that has already been invented in the past however many years or so, it seems like anything else is unreal. I suppose that is what people thought before cell phones and the internet was invented though!
I like lams thinking about 2012, even though i dont believe its going to happen, i think that the economy will finally get better, and there will be new technology and new advances in medicine and hopefully a cure for Deadly diseases
I agree with Dan. We have made so many scientific and technologic advances, how can progress not continue? Hybrid and electric cars have already been invented. Maybe next, a car will be invented that runs on water.
I also think that music will keep going downhill for a little while, and slowly get better. I mean really, how many songs have you heard on the radio that are not about "in the club" or drinking or drugs or your boy/girlfriend? So called "popular" music has taken a downturn. Hopefully in the next decade, some good songs and bands will emerge.
